Description: There are some hot topics in the IT industry today, cloud-computing is the current buzzword, virtualization is the hot technology and of course Oracle has finalised acquisition of SUN this year. So what does all this mean....what's Oracle's strategy around the private and public cloud, how will SUN Solaris and Virtualization impact Oracle's Linux and Virtualization offerings? Dean Samuels has been at Oracle for over 2 years in the Open Source and Virtualization Business Unit of Oracle. He is responsible for leading a team of architects across the Asia-Pacific region to provide Linux and Virtualization technical pre-sales support for hosting Oracle application solutions. Prior to joining Oracle, Dean was the Principal Linux Consultant and Trainer with Red Hat Asia-Pacific for 7 years. His primary responsibilities included the planning, design, implementation, training and testing of Open Source technologies for small, medium and large organisations across a broad spectrum of industries.
