We are using uniform size as well. 50M for the extent.
Don't think the developers are using APPEND hint. Because after the tablespace filled up. it starts filling the free space in the blocks. It seems Oracle is a bit reactive in this scenario. At this stage, I am still not quite sure if that's a bug. Keep looking...
