[Off topic] - VPN help

Hi everyone, I need to grant access to my LAN and I am a little bit confused about where to start. The router allows to add VPN polices, but I guess I still need to install a VPN server, don't I? I have a Ubuntu Server running by the way. If you think you can help me, please drop me an email to [address removed] in order not to send more messages to the list about a topic that probably is not of the interest of many users.
