Pity the weather kept so many away,m this was definitely the most value of the whole year. I took a couple of great hints from Yury's setup and was able to put together some stuff for the other folks that might be really useful. Will upload a more lengthy desc ription so that those who couldn't attend can also benefit from that knowledge. Yury will then add his content as well. -
I know how to hacking into the Pentagon now!!! :) -

I just reviewed the the slide-desk! MAN! This has been one of the most valuable SOM presentation for me personally! I regret that I wasn't able to be there myself :( had 1 priority client emergency call ); I am sure Konrad delivered it well and shined the experience ;) -
All things script best practice - and was good to see plenty of audience participation.

Excellent value. We got a lot covered and some intesresting ideas were shown. It certainly was a good refresher for bash use and how to take best advantage of it from the DBA perspective.

I was surprised how good the meeting was. We had a relaxed discussion about Oracle technologies like RAC, GG, Data Guard etc. It looks like we should organize those events on regular basis.

This was an excellent meetup event. It was great to hear the panel of 'reluctant experts' tell of their experiences in the Oracle and IT world in general. Well done Yuri, Gary and Pythian. -

I have been on other webinars and it is better when all logged in members are visible and that we can see their questions and the answers. The webinar software allows for these questions and links to be save to the local device. As for the webcam, the 4 second frame interval did not seem smooth and could be eliminated. I suppose in a live session with other visual data it could be useful. As for the content, I thought it was good, but it would have been better if the content was printable before the webinar so that we could add notes to it while you were speaking. -
I would leave to decide how successful the session was to others. However from my side I was missing a life feedback from the audience and therefore it was a bit challenging to adjust the timing of the presentation and understand the reaction. I think I know now how valuable our face to face meetings are. One of my conclusions from the sessions is that we can't replace them with Webinars. This is 100% clear. Please keep in mind that this was our very first try. Therefore it is very important to have as much your feedback as possible. End of the day SOM is you and for you! There is no other way we can understand what works well what doesn't. Please jump in and leave your feedback! Yury
