    I look forward to the next Meetup I can make. These Wednesdays nights are just not good for me.
    Hopefully can get some notes to see if Oracle finallu have decent compression.

    I have used the Oracle 11g compression using direct load (the free option). Compression is easy to use, and is compressing to 50% of size, and there "seems" to be no impact on performance. I have only used it in areas where there is little or no update. This database will be in production soon.
