Oracle DBA War stories ....

Sydney Mechanics’ School of Arts (map)

Selected By: Yury Velikanov

The idea of that MeetUp is to have a discussion around Oracle DBA stories from a battle field. Comparing with the previous PL/SQL experience sharing session we are changing a format of the meeting to make it more dynamic and make it more like a discussion involving all DBAs present.

We do have several guys from such organizations like Telstra & Pythian to give us short 10-15 minutes introductions about their stories from a battle field. The goal isn’t to give a full comprehensive detailed presentation on a particular problem, but share some interesting problems from their Oracle DBA live and introduce some ways to address the problem.

After each introduction we have a discussion section them each present person can ask detailed questions about particular story and/or share his experience in the same area.

We will try to keep each discussion not longer than 20-30 minutes.

If any particular story will spark a lot of interest we will have it to be presented as a separate topic.

See you coming Monday,

Yury

This presentation sounds very beneficial, but I can't do Monday meets :(
I have weekly commitment on Mondays.
