Sydney Oracle Meetup #17 - Let's talk about RMAN backups & SAN infrastructure

Very Good Day Sydney Oracle Community!
As agreed during the #16 Meetup this time we will continue a successful RMAN discussion (slides from Yury and common discussion from everyone). In addition a famous blogger and Community member from the first Meetups days Nuno Souto volunteered to make a few slides on SAN (Storage Area Network) infrastructure.
If we will have enough time we will have a common discussion on Oracle Bitmap Indexes in details. As agreed everyone is welcome to contribute to that part of Meetup. You may make some research or/and reading on that topic to reach a common understanding on how Oracle Bitmap Indexes works.
IMHO: As all topics for that meetup are hot for any Oracle DBA I encourage you to continue a very good work popularising Oracle Sydney Community events and broadcast information about that event to your colleagues and Oracle fellows. More people we will have on board, more knowledge we will have all together.

Serge StadnichenkoWe have been talking mostly about SAN ifrastructure.
The knowlege I got during presenation was great! I didn't even think about many things we have been talking during discussion and they are so important for the database.
I rate it very high and I hope everyone did enjoy the presentation and thanks very much to Nuno who shared his knowledge with us.
